The most economical way to go about things is to provide your writer with your version, allowing him to rewrite it in a professional manner for publishing. This does, of course, require quite considerable effort on your part but reduces the cost substantially. More usually, the book is prepared between yourself and your writer (hopefully myself) during a series of informal meetings and interviews.
Modern techniques, such as the Internet and the use of video recordings for the interview, can speed up the process and provide a means of working together in spite of geographical differences.
For company histories, there is usually a fair amount of material ready to hand which may be supplemented by a personal visit or two. However we go about it, a preliminary discussion is essential and this is, of course, free of charge and without any commitment on either part.
But please check out the "How Much" pages first.
